About Rebecca~

I grew up in a diverse city in the Midwest, but longed for a life in the country.
I wanted a dog and a pony more than anything in the world! 
Our family finally adopted a dog when I was eight.  She was an amazing dog that taught me the many different aspects of training early on.  From agility in the backyard (I had no idea such a sport existed!) to a modified version of skijoring, she was a truly special dog. 

At the age of 16 I began obedience training and handling (showing at breed specific AKC Conformation shows) dogs for my (Veterinarian) employer. 
By the time I was 19 I had a "dog of my own".  She was my kindred spirit and an amazing creature to be around.  We mastered obedience, thoroughly enjoyed agility, and took instantly to both skijoring and dog sledding in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. 
A few years later a unique Doberman joined my pack.  He too taught me many things.  If only I new then what I know now!  He was a rescue (every single one of my companions have been/are rescues.) and had aggression issues at a young age.  We persevered and he excelled in the obedience ring.  We also dabbled in Search and Rescue although we were unable to pursue it to the point I desired.
Both of these dogs received the AKC CGC title.
During this time I also began instructing obedience classes with the club I had become so active in.  I quickly built a reputation there with the more difficult dogs and was routinely asked to work one on one with the handlers and their dogs that were hard to handle or had behavioral problems.
After relocating to beautiful Tennessee I quickly surrounded myself with dogs, cats, horses, and that pony I always wanted!
My sidekick (daughter) and I are happy to offer group training classes, a customized board and train program, as well as boarding.
We use only dog-friendly, gentle methods in our training program.  We use positive reinforcement and lure/reward training because they are fun and easy for all family members.  Feel free to observe our classes without your pet if you have any questions or concerns about our methods.
